This page features information about the annual Kiwanis community awards and about Kiwanis sponsored leadership scholarships for graduating high school seniors.

Community Awards

Each year the Kiwanis Club of Issaquah sponsors three awards, which are presented at the annual community awards luncheon of the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce. This luncheon will be held on May 15, 2007, beginning at 11:30 a.m., at the Holiday Inn Issaquah, 1801 12th Ave. NW in Issaquah. Tickets are $25. The three awards sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Issaquah are:

• Volunteer of the Year Award
• Environmental Award
• Spiritual Values Award

Scholarships

The Kiwanis Club of Issaquah offers two kinds of scholarships to graduating high school seniors. 

·        Issaquah High School, Liberty High School, and Tiger Mountain High School Leadership Scholarships:

Every spring, the Kiwanis Club of Issaquah presents a $1000 scholarship to one graduating senior from each of the following schools: Issaquah High School, Liberty High School, and Tiger Mountain High School. The deadline for applying for one of these scholarships is April 30.

Scholarship Criteria and Forms.

·        Linda and Jeff Ruehle Issaquah High School Leadership Scholarship

The late Linda Ruehle established an award in her name and her husband's, in honor of their son, a student at Issaquah High School who was killed in an accident. The award provides $2000 for a graduating senior from Issaquah High School, to be used for furthering his or her education. The deadline for applying for this scholarship is April 30.
