| May 22 | Rowan (a current club member) is a former Mayor of Issaquah and retired from Weyerhaeuser Company. He will show pictures and discuss his recent trip to Laos and Myanmar. |
| May 29 | Rob Young, is a Klahanie resident and a member of the City of Issaquah Annexation Committee to review the Klahanie Annexation information for accuracy and completeness. He will discuss the current Klahanie Annexation proposal before the City of Issaquah as well as answer our questions. |

Ron Thiele is no stranger to Issaquah schools—having served as principal of Issaquah Middle School, Executive Director of Middle Schools, and Associate Superintendent—but on July 1 he will take over the ultimate leadership position as superintendent. He has been selected by the school board to replace outgoing Steve Rasmussen, and Mr. Thiele is looking forward to engaging the entire community in meaningful conversations about the direction of local education. He has almost 25 years of educator experience, eight years as a classroom teacher and the rest as an administrative leader. Mr. Thiele received his bachelor’s degree in International Studies from the University of Washington; and his teaching and principal certification and master’s degree in school administration from Seattle Pacific University. |

John W. Cartmell, MS, has been a Certified Nutritionist since 2004. He obtained a Master of Science degree in nutrition research from Bastyr University of Natural Medicine in Kenmore, WA, doing his master's thesis on "Nutrition in Fibromyalgia." He is a Certified Nutritionist, he specializes in clinical nutrition, helping to address specific nutritional concerns of people with Diabetes, Heart Disease, Cancer, Arthritis, Chronic, Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Digestive, Disturbances, and other chronic or age-related disorders. He has been a public speaker since 2006 and has published papers and letters on health and nutrition in several professional journals. In April, 2011, he was a guest nutritionist on KVI AM Radio's "Real Medicine Show" in Seattle. His book, “Fibromyalgia: A Nutritional Approach to Prevention, Treatment and Cure”, is available in digital form on Amazon.com. He has an office is in Redmond, WA and a website at www.dietadvisor.com. |
